They Came and Shaved Us

Aside from stuff for the Show and Tells, and all those weird foods, we'd like you to bring along a selection of other things... It is vital to YOUR enjoyment that you make an effort, however small. It adds greatly, introduces you in an easy way to others, and you the members are our greatest resource, so please make an effort. Otherwise James will have a sulk, Mike will be eating Weetabix, Stef will be trying to stand on his head and Bill will be jumping off the roof. And you don't want that do you?

PRESSIES
With Sproutlore being ten years old, we decided it might be nice to give everyone who comes along a present. This will tie in nicely with the 'Birthday Hour' where we get to play birthday party games like 'Simo(n) Says' and 'Musical Chairs of Death'. We have lots of presents lined up for you. In return, of course, we hope that you will bring the four of us a present too, or one between us, or something. It's amazing what junk you can find that we might like. Think of it as an amazing recycling effort. Everyone loves giving and receiving presents. By the way, we all love comics, James likes Lego and war stuff, Stef likes sick horror and cthuluy type of things, Bill loves books and stamps and Mike likes superheroes.

KITES AND FLYING THINGS
We are going to have a kite hour, so if you have a kite – or anything that flies – we have a huge breezy area behind the hotel where we will be flying. A1-sized paper aeroplanes being thrown from the top floor seems like a good idea too, so if you have something that flies, big or small, bring it along. There may or may not be any truth in the rumour that we're going to attempt to be first people to reach orbit in a wind-powered craft.

WATER PISTOLS, LIGHT SABRES, LASER TAG, FOAM, ETC.
If you're read the rest of this Progress Report you'll be aware of our rules regarding weapons... So we hope that you bring as many as possible. We are especially hoping you bring water pistols. It will of course probably be cold in October, but regardless we hope – and it is an old charter at this stage – to have a water pistol fight. Our 'Disco' room is nice and dark and offers fantastic possibilities for Light Sabre Duels, and Laser Tag fights, so bring along these type of things if you have them.

PYJAMAS (GIRLS ONLY)
In an effort to recreate the cover of one of the most amazing albums ever, we are appealing to our female members to bring along some nice Pyjamas. It's like this: back in 1969 Jimi Hendrix released his album Electric Ladyland. This is considered his finest, and it is truly an amazing album. The album cover was also rather unique; it had a plethora of lovely ladies, somewhat naked, holding pictures of Jimi, and his album Axis. We want to recreate this in a friendly family way, so we would like you ladies to bring some Pyjamas, whether they be slinky red negligees with all the flying gear and heeled furry slippers, or just an oversized Winnie the Pooh t-shirt, we want you, and to photograph you, with Robert Rankin on Saturday Morning.
