The Hotel
The hotel's main entrance. Fairways Hotel lies slightly south of the town of Dundalk, itself located halfway between Dublin and Belfast.

We have booked 'The Library' and the 'Old Disco' as our convention space.

The Library is a normal function room, with a small stage and bar and will be our main room for the weekend.

The Disco is of early 80s design (so some of us will feel right at home there), and there are cosy alcoves that can be used for smaller, informal talks and workshops. Plus there's a sunken dance floor that looks rather like a gladiatorial arena: we will be finding uses for this!

Joining the two rooms is a lobby area, at the end of which there is the main hotel bar, reception and restaurants. We also have the use of an enclosed garden (and a rear car park should we desire it).

Food:
Fairways has a number of eating options: From noon until 3pm daily there is a Carvery, with main meals costing around €10 / Sterling £6.40. From 5pm until 10pm the same area turns into 'The Grill', where a main course is about €14 / £9. The main restaurant offers a four-course meal, from 5pm until 9.30pm for €32 / £20. The bar serves sandwiches, a plate of which costs about €4 / £2.50

Drink:
One of the hotel's many atmospheric and cosy bars. The hotel boasts a large number of bars (when we were there we saw at least eight); The Managing Director has assured us that there will be no shortage of Drink. We will have a bar in the main room, which will be open until about 1pm each night, and drink will be available in the main hotel bar later.

A pint of Guinness costs about €3.35 / £2.14, a vodka is €2.90 / £1.85, a cola is €2 / £1.28 and a cordial is €0.80 / 50p.

Room Rates:
A bedroom. We have organised a special deal for room rates. You must use the Hotel Booking Form! There are 45 standard and 56 deluxe rooms in the hotel. We have held all the standard rooms and a number of deluxe rooms, but first come first served, so please book ASAP: the rooms will only be held for a limited time.

A credit card booking or a deposit of 50% is required to book the rooms. The hotel understands that we want our rooms to be grouped together and that we want the standard rooms to go first, so please book early.
